Personal GDPR training
The General Data Protection Regulation is a European-wide regulation that replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK. The GDPR applies to personal data, which means any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified. This includes name, address, email, and date of birth. In addition, personal data can be classified as sensitive personal data if it contains further data, such as religion, ethnicity or health data.
GDPR training is a mandatory module for all appointments, and is only available as e-learning. To begin the e-learning click here. The session only takes about 30 minutes and the certificate should then be forwarded to Pauline Lewer, our local training manager, for it to be recorded in your Compass record.
Please remember that the deadline for all current adult members to complete the GDPR training module is Monday 31 December 2018, and that all new joining adult members (who do not have a full role by Tuesday 25 September 2018) must complete the GDPR training module within five months from the date of appointment.
